46/365 Kiss

I realized this Valentine's Day, that I am not my sons' Valentine any more. Well, maybe in a mom/older son kinda way, but it's not like those glorious younger days when they wanted always to be with me. Yes, I felt a pang of loss for a minute or so...and then I was filled with gratitide that both boys are developing into fine, loving, caring young men.

Joy of Love 15: Kiss

Photo: Not as sharp as I would have liked, but I love the sweet look on Sam's face. James is kissing her so tenderly. f/2.2, 1/125, ISO 3200, 50mm

  1. Looks like you caught a moment. I think I'm blushing! And what do you mean you're not your son's Valentine?! I plan on being my son's forever! wink, wink (he's only 2 now!).

  2. Did you already enter this photo in The Pioneer Woman's contest this week? If not, go do it today! Upload to Flickr and join her group (add it to her group to count -- before midnight)!

  3. So sweet! Though... I have little ones and I don't want to think of them being at this stage yet! Wonderful capture!!! =)

  4. Oh my goodness! This is soooo sweet. They both look so incredibly content and happy.
