Both times I have been on this mission trip, I had the extreme pleasure of staying with Mitzi, her sons, King & Gus, and her mom, Rae. They are the most gracious hosts and have become dear friends!

107/365 Rrrring!
Alex enjoys playing the "big" bells in the bell choir! I think he is one of but a very few who can lift them and make them ring.

106/365 A Gourd
I spent a few days with my sis and was watching the wildlife on her deck! Caught this sweet bird as she was feeding her babies in the gourd! She is sitting in the entrance.

105/365 Necessary procedures
When you arrive at the magic age of 50, you get to have new and exciting, necessary medical procedures! This was routine for Bill, with no problems.

No visit would be complete without seeing the Azaleas,
lunching at a fun spot, and doing a little shopping!

101/365 Sis
Sisters are wonderful, ya know...? My one and only (Deb) traveled 5 hours just to see me perform.
She also took a turn at watering our plot in the community garden! She's helpful like that...

85-100/365 Another Openin' Another Show
WOW! What a wonderful, talented group of people with whom to perform! I have been involved with the Troupers since 2004 and our shows are always fun and demanding! We are so fortunate to have a first class director at the helm. Thanks, Bruce, for being you! This year he asked me to co-direct our Broadway revue, along with a very talented gal, Helen. Bruce still did the bulk of the work, but we are trying to lighten his load!
All proceeds from the show went to help fund our Vacation Bible School and the youth mission programs (Uganda, Colorado, Summer in the City). After all the bills were paid we were able to give these groups $2400!
About the photos: Yikes! Shooting in the dark is tough! The photos below are some of the best shots I was able to get the night of our final dress rehearsal. Unfortunately, I did not get shots of everyone in the cast and crew, and there were some shots that were so blurry or otherwise so bad, that I did not post them. Of course, the photographer doesn't get in too many shots, but, in this case, that meant that the ensembles I was singing with did not get in those shots either. :0(
"You have much to learn, young grasshopper." Yes...I do.

Bruce, Director Extraordinaire

"Part of Your World," from The Little Mermaid, sung by Sarah.

"Fugue for Tinhorns," from Guys & Dolls, sung by Lannis, David, & Richard.

"You Can't Get a Man with a Gun," from Annie Get Your Gun, sung by Carol.

"Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)," from Annie Get Your Gun, sung by Olivia & Randy.

"Soon It's Gonna Rain," from The Fantasticks, sung by Rita.

"I'm Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair," from South Pacific, sung by Bonnie.
She also had four dynamite "nurses" (Geri, Sandy, Diane, & Donna) singing backup,
but alas, no good shots.

"We Open in Venice," from Kiss Me Kate, sung by
Gordon (except I didn't get him in this shot), Pam, Olivia, David, Geri, Bonnie, & Randy.

"On My Own," from Les Miserables, sung by Helen.

"Castle on a Cloud," from Les Miserables, sung by Hallie.

"Comedy Tonight," from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,
sung by Gordon & Randy.

Where oh where has Melissa gone?
Well ... I'm still around and will post again soon. I've been busy with a Broadway Revue and then with computer issues. I haven't taken a photo every day, but I have enough photos to fill my missing days, so I will get them up as soon as I can. I am without a computer for several days since the data from my old one is being transferred to the new one! It has been 6 years since I've had a new computer, so I feel like I've morphed into a whole new world! Wow! Until then...
