Considering that we recently moved to a new home, this is very accurate! Now y'all, tell me, am I really selfish and eccentric? Be nice and don't say anything about my little rooster! =]
Bill took off today on a mission trip in Uganda! What an exciting new adventure for him and the other missioners (a few are pictured here: Marissa, Toni, & Susan). The youth and some adults from our church have been going to Uganda for a number of years, but this is Bill's first time. Prayers are much appreciated.
Well darn! I wish my focus was better on Wren's sweet face, but I did capture a great smile on grandma's face! I sang with a small ensemble at church on Sunday and during the second service, I couldn't help but play a little (we are in the balcony) since I'd already been through the service earlier. :o)
It's Bill's & my 28th wedding anniversary and Bill, Alex, Liam, his sister and parents, and I are sitting on the floor, waiting in line to see Harry Potter 7, Part 2 - the final installment, in what has been an awesome ride! Only a few minutes later the line wound around in front of me. The only books I have ever re-read (exception being The Holy Bible) are the Harry Potter books. I've seen all the movies, of course, and this one was a superb finale!
We met our friends, Anita and Johnny, tonight for dinner. Anita had finally gone the smart phone route, and so we all pulled out our phones to compare the iPhone with Android. Johnny had us in stitches trying to MAKE his phone be "smart!" Thanks for a fun evening!
These old wooden screen doors remind me of when I was very young and I would visit my grandpa's general store in Camp Wood, TX. This one happens to be at Spring Creek Barbecue. Just the sound of the door takes me back...
We are still de-cluttering and down-sizing. Is there no end? Thank goodness we can sell those books. Keep lifting those books Bill; it's great for the arms!
